Is it that time again already? The months really do fly by when they're packed with heat. Kick back and have a smile-inducing swipe through June's POTM.
Anytime Action Bronson and New Balance link up they produce pure gold. So, it's no surprise that their latest 1906R collection takes June's top spot. This time, we're treated to three creative colourways: a rich blue pair dubbed 'Medusa Azul', a bold green pair coined 'Scorpio', and an elegant white, pink, and orange pair titled 'Rosewater'. All three are head-turners in their own right – stupendous additions to any sneaker collection.
Speaking of stupendous, we comic book nerds at MORPRIME Industries™ are thrilled about the Deluxe English version of Caza's "Arkadi and the Lost Titan." This 500-page epic, 20 years in the making, is finally available in one colossal hardback book.
It blends stunning landscapes with intricate detail, taking readers on a sci-fi adventure laced with spiritual and metaphysical exploration. The deluxe edition comes in a high-concept slipcase decorated with stunning visuals from French comic book legend Caza. A two-toned design – one-half dark symbolising the planet's eternal night, the other light representing Arkadi's world – lets you switch up the artwork as you please. It's a very welcome addition to our library.
Back over to footwear now. Adidas didn't mess around in June. Three stunning collabs, that's some work rate. First up was a revival of NEIGHBORHOOD's 2005 adidas Superstar – "Ink Black" and white beauties, tooled up in premium leather with co-branded hits throughout *insert wolf whistle here*.
Secondly was a ZX 6001B collaboration with Berlin-based skate shop Civilist – a new ZX model that does away with the typical plastic heel cage, instead replacing it with suede. Different, but we like it.
Adidas's third effort was another ZX model, courtesy of another Berlin resident, Overkill. Coinciding with the Euros, Overkills ZX 8000 effort is christened "Heimspiel", translating to "home game". A fitting name for a pair dressed in the German national football team's colours.
Elsewhere in the footwear world, Noah teamed up with PUMA for a premium "Made in Japan" Suede iteration. Classy. Oakley Factory Team treated us to its contemporary Suede Flesh Sandal in a "Lava" and black colourway – we'll be sauntering along the beach in these bad boys later this summer. Lastly, CLINTS Inc. dropped a fresh white "Pearls" take on its Oasis silhouette – we'll be doing a deeper dive into this pair soon.
Another book we hope to get our hands on is "Mountain Style: British Outdoor Clothing 1953-2000". This illustrative piece celebrates the history, heritage, and style of British outdoor clothing brands. From what's been teased on their Instagram and Kickstarter pages, it looks to be incredible.
We've also enjoyed flicking through the pages of issue 5 of C.P. Company's biannual mag, Arcipelago. Titled "The Sacred Game", this edition explores the relationship between football fans and the Italian label and looks at three key areas: Goods, People, and Intersections. Give it a read if you get the chance.
Our final pick from June is the LEGO The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr. Standing at a whopping 83cm tall and comprised of a scary 5471 pieces, this set could keep our lab rats busy for days. Father Christmas, if you're listening, we've been ever so good this year.
That's all for now folks, catch you next month. Transport yourself back to our REPORTS hub for even more servings of knowledge.
