Collaborations have become an integral part of the fashion industry as we know it.
In fact, sporting partnerships seem to be a far more common occurrence than before; we have PSG accepting Jordan Brand’s kit contract, 424 teaming up with adidas Football for concept kits and of course - PALACE Skateboards stitching their name into the very jersey Cristiano Ronaldo donned during game time.
However, how many of you would be surprised to learn that these aren’t primary instances of street-to-stadium transitions? Whilst it isn’t the first example, follow us back to South Africa’s 2010 World Cup where vuvuzela could be heard worldwide, Suarez robbed Ghana of semi-final prosperity and Lampard’s ‘goal’ against Germany… wasn’t. Who remembers Nike’s SIX(6) capsule?

A handful of silhouettes made their way into artistically unforgiving hands, having DNA surgically removed and REINJECTED with inspired ideas and overly eye-catching concepts intertwined.
For this installment, MORPRIME Industries™ delve into the mind of Boris Tellegen - a Dutch artist going by the name of DELTA. Fortunately, his love for football meant ALL viable routes were predetermined and trademark GEOMETRIC prints were welcomed alongside block-heavy type embroidery aplenty.
DELTA curated nine products, three of which sat proudly on foot with one taking the wheel as driver of today’s post - a dual-shade hybrid, iconically clad in black and orange to represent Holland’s ROYAL family colours.
To make the occasion even more momentous, this was the LUNAR CHUKKA WOVEN’s debut year on consumer feet - combining the Lunaracer sole unit first seen at Beijing’s 2008 Olympics with a micro-Swoosh branded Chukka Woven upper.
Lunarlon cushioning is the final product in Kevin HOFFER and Eric AVAR’S exploration of innovational comfort-orientated boundaries; fusing EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) with NBR (Nitrile Rubber) on a quest inspired by responsive astronaut movements and an overall weightlessness experienced in OUTER SPACE.
